Training Programs

A key asset for Buchanan County area companies is the expanding educational resources and facilities for jobs training in our community. Hawkeye Community College, Independence Center, is continually diversifying the classes they offer for college credit to area high school students along with business and community education courses for local residents. These programs include welding, machinists and soft skills training.

Additional community colleges serving the region provide an array of employee training resources to help businesses maintain a competitive edge and administer the State of Iowa jobs training assistance programs.
