October is Manufacturing Month! -Tours!

October is upon us and that means it is Manufacturing Month!  Manufacturing Month provides an opportunity for local and national manufacturers alike to highlight the importance of manufacturing in our communities and what they, our local manufacturers provide for Buchanan County.   The Buchanan County Economic Development Commission (BCEDC) wants to help the people, Manufacturers and the employees of Buchanan County to celebrate the month the best we can during COVID-19 restrictions. COVID-19 has created a new landscape, but even dealing with the restrictions and difficulties that COVID-19 has presented, BCEDC has created several opportunities to celebrate Manufacturing in Buchanan County and beyond.

The first opportunity is open to community members and provides the opportunity to see how manufacturing works right here in Buchanan County.  Geater Machining and Manufacturing and QC Plastics agreed are partnering with Buchanan County Economic Development to provide two in person tours of their facilities.  All tours will follow social distancing guidelines and mask will be required.  To sign up, simply click the link and add your name and email address.  You will receive a confirmation email from Buchanan County Economic Development for your date, time and manufacturer.
