Autonomous Guided Vehicles in Manufacturing – Thursday September 24th -11:45 am to 12:45 pm
COVID-19 has changed the way many people do things, including how Buchanan County Economic Development (BCEDC) will be doing our Lunch and Learns. BCEDC has teamed up with Iowa State’s CIRAS to create a monthly webinar series for Buchanan County Businesses. The topic ideas were developed from the Survey Monkey sent out by BCEDC to local businesses and industries. Join Abhay Grover of CIRAS to find out more about autonomous guided vehicles and if they are feasible for your industry.
To stay competitive, modern manufacturers have to streamline costs and keep their workers focused on the most important tasks. What if you could divert some of your factory’s more mundane duties, such as moving material inside a factory, to a cart that worked on its own?
This one-hour webinar is designed to give companies a broad overview of MIR autonomous vehicles. Experts will explain the basics of what autonomous vehicles can do, what their limitations are, and how they can be used to free up employees for more valuable work. We’ll discuss the machines’ technical specifications and describe how other companies have used them successfully to save time and become more efficient.
To join the September 24th webinar you simply need to click HERE and register for this free event. Closer to the date an email with the link to the webinar will be sent to you. If there is a specific topic you feel would be beneficial to your business or industry, or if you have any questions, please feel free to share it with BCEDC Director Lisa Kremer at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 319-334-7497.
